Review of Cloverfield (2008) by G'colby P — 17 Apr 2015
Cloverfield a mix between the film Alien and Godzilla. Cloverfield is about A group of friends who venture deep into the streets of New York on a rescue mission during a rampaging monster attack.
I thought this was a good movie, I didn't like the found footage idea for this movie I thought it would have been 10x better if it wasnt. I thought the acting was great especially the guy who played Rob. I did think that they were a bit overdramatic at times. It took a while for the movie to pick up steam but once hit the 20:00 mark it picked up. I thought it was not predictable which was good there was a few things I called but not a lot. I thought the movie was shot good the lighting was good but the camera was a little shaky at times. I thought it was a very entertaining movie with the exception being the first 20 minutes. The monster looked really cool and the special effects were great. It was a really short movie. I liked the ending and I like the last words spoken which were chose by J.J. Abrams.
I recommend this movie to big Sci-Fi and horror fans.
