Review of Clockers (1995) by Jackson K — 08 Aug 2007
Spike Lee paints a gritty and in-your-face portrait of poverty and drug dealing. Strong performances by Phifer and Keitel, many powerful scenes, and an engaging soundtrack. Lee loses his grip on Price's material at several points throughout the film, however.
