Review of Clockers (1995) by Tommy M — 10 Jan 2011
Spike Lee has a natural gift for making his films feel like a hard dose of reality, and 'Clockers' is no exception.
The plot aims to unveil the central crime as a police procedural while the drama emphasizes life in the projects, but there are numerous moments in which the story seems to be stalling for no apparent reason. These however, are genuinely redeemed by a handful of excellent moments where Harvey Keitel delivers some thunderously solid acting.
