The concept of a remote that controls reality is one hell of a premise, the idea of being able to fastforward and rewind and even pause time facinated me enough to watch this film and on my first viewing.

I enjoyed it. The next few times however, I began to see this film for the bad movie it was. The biggest problem with this film is that it changes three quarters of the way through from comedy to tragedy which is to be frank.

..awful. The idea that the protagonist would be stuck in a cycle of his life fastforwarding (while an interesting premise in of itself) doesn't belong in a film like this, by deviating from the best part of the film (the comedy) the movie shoots itself in the foot severely.

The comedy part of the movie works to a degree, some of the jokes are crude (like the sex joke) while others such as Adam Sandler's revenge on his boss and the annoying kid, provoke laughs. The most admirable quality about this movie is the way in which the filmmakers incorperate more than just the basic qualities of a remote (rewind, fastforward, pause).

one of the funniest sceens in the film is where Sandler's character is able to change the color of his skin using the remote. The cast do a decent job. Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale have good chemistry together, but Christopher Walken comes off as a bit flat to be honest.

David Hasselhoff is great as Sandlers boss, but he's cut out of the film way too early. Ultimately this film is ok, but largely forgettable.
