Review of Click (2006) by Archangel L — 22 May 2014
To all the critics of this movie. FUCK YOU. Adam Sandler is more into toilet and very immature humor, we all know that. However, THIS movie is not in that category. So let's go over the plot. Adam Sandler is sick of his shit life, he's working, and trying to juggle family at the same time, go to Japan, the story is all too familiar there.
So, he finds a device given to him by the Angel of Death, which he doesn't know is the Angel of death. At first it's great, and I have to side with Micheal (Sandler.) Able to pause and fast-forward through situations you don't want to go through? awesome.
However, he soon realizes, that when Morty (Walken), said it programs itself, and it does, anytime he wants something over with, it fast forwards, and suddenly, he's way into the future, and without ANYTHING, but his job.
And, it's miserable, obviously. Finally, everything breaks down, and he dies, all due to his selfishnesness. But, it comes to the lowest common denominator, all a dream. Sort of, that I find confusing, whether morty allowed him to live one more time, or what.
Yes, I was a bit annoyed with the sappy ending, but all in all, it was one of Sandler's BEST performances. He is very good in it, and despite some of the low brow jokes, it was funny, and VERY real, I felt the emotion in the film.
I felt hurt, I felt sad, I felt joyful. So get off of this movie. It was good in '06 and it's still good in '14.
