Review of Clerks II (2006) by J K — 08 May 2010
What made the original Clerks so brilliant was it's cheap, film-school grainyness. The dialogue was hilarious and you could relate to the characters, especially if you were a slacker working a conveinent mart somewhere.
Why Kevin Smith felt the need to go back to this universe only tells me he was hard up for a payday. If he makes a Dogma 2 I am going to be severely pissed. Clerks II had no charm, nothing interesting and even less Jay and Silent Bob.
They say Jay was better because he was off drugs. I felt he kinda sucked. Go back on the smack, dude.
