Review of Clerks II (2006) by Patricia A — 20 Apr 2018
It's the first film but with the fast food chain from Dogma instead of Quick Stop and in colour. Clerks II has funny moments, I believed that Dante had more chemistry with Rosario Dawson's character than either girl from the first film, hell, even the woman he's engaged to I thought he had chemistry with.
Near the end, it was strangely satisfying to see Dante and Randal call each other out for their own problems. Jay and Silent Bob should always be wins if CinemaWins is to ever tackle the View Askewniverse one day (The EGA video for Thor: Ragnarok has him decide that characters can be always wins).
Yet, the movie is essentially a repeat of the first film...but in colour. Clerks II isn't deserving of a runner-up position of Top 11 Worst Movie Sequels but what I believe is that this is the weakest View Askewniverse movie to date.
And I'm finally done with this shared universe, phew. What a journey. So...do I review the True North trilogy when Moose Jaws comes out or...?
