Review of Clash of the Titans (1981) by Martin S — 06 Nov 2011
It is by no chance a film of exquisite quality. The main character is as dynamic as a cardboard on a treadmill and some other characters aren't as interesting as they could have been. One character which steals the show (though not in a positive way) is the mechanical owl Bubo, which just doesn't fit into a film dealing with Greek and Roman mythology.
It has it's fare and share of memorable moments, however. These moments alone makes the film quite appealing, and Ray Harryhausen's old-school animation and character design is as delightful as ever.
