Review of Clash of the Titans (1981) by Kestutis K — 24 Jan 2011
Certainly campy and more than a bit goofy, Ray Harryhausen's last film makes up for the prevalent cheese with the effects maven's signature high-quality stop motion creations and an ebullient love for Greek Mythology.
Youthful enthusiasm and a sense of wonder more than make up for the campy elements. Also, Burgess Meredith gives a hammy and wistful performance as the poet Ammon.
