Review of City of the Living Dead (1980) by Brandon S — 24 Aug 2010
Lucio Fulci's The Gates of Hell is a minor masterpiece of Italian horror films and one of the most disgusting films out there. The film is about a priest that kills himself andthe repercussions which are the opening of the gates of hell on earth.
Sounds awesome but in actuallity it is sloooow and the acting is as laughable as you'd expect. George does a "great" job as an investigator that seems to come out of nowhere and to start working on this case.
I couldn't tell if the versioni saw was missing scenes or what, because it seemed like things were happening for no reason. Anyways the gore is awesome in this picture which includes a shocking bit where a girl vomits up her entire digestive track.
Awesome!
