Regardless of the silly looking movie poster, The City of the Living Dead or (Paura Nella Cittei Morti Viventi) is a legit horror flick with extreme gore and creepy subject matter. Basically a priest hangs himself so that his spirit can come back and turn beautiful people into demon possessed zombie beings.
If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then you should do some serious self reflection. Jk. There are a lot of instances where this movie gets super intense, but as with almost every horror film from the early 80's, it does get slow at times.
