Review of City of the Living Dead (1980) by Guillaume H — 25 Oct 2013
4 stars for really good atmosphere. 3.5 for a sometimes rich visual style. 3 stars for an ok story but 2.5 for a sometimes really inane writing, rotten dialogues and lousy badly conducted exposition that is never at the right places, and 2 stars for some truly inane actor directing and / or acting itself.
Enjoyable but vaguely embarassing too. And by the way Savannah is gorgeous and it cannot and should not be passed for massachussets, I mean come on, italian guys, you ever heard of the north and the South of the states? And how its, like, really not the same? So there you go; from 4 to 2, a middling 3 stars.
