(1980) The Gates of Hell.
DUBBED.
HORROR.
Silly plot involving opening the 'gates of hell' underneath a cemetary!
One of the first ones I've seen and liked because the thought of using real and actual maggots and other bugs on actual people (before Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom)is something not often used and seen on American horror films they often use either make-up or special effects! Also, because of the budget, it does seem that the locations were real and not on some stage, like most Hollywood horror films use! Music sounds and assume done by "Goblin" who was known for the music for Argento's "Suspira"!
I like to have given this film a much higher rating but, because I only seen this dubbed version, I know theirs a longer European cut, which may have been sensored for North American audiences!
Strong.
3 out of 4.
