Review of City of Men (2007) by Kari L — 28 Aug 2008
I was extremely excited to finally watch this film. I must say, it is nothing like City of God, but I enjoyed it. The storyline was a bit shakey, but I got the message. One of the things I admired, is the fact that the struggles portrayed in the film as far as being young parents, struggling day to day for employment completely resonates with the struggle of African-Americans today.
I think it is important for people to know that this is not just a black vs. white, us vs. them issue; this is a global epidemic that is hardly fiction. I would recommend people watch this movie if they are curious.
