Review of City Lights (1931) by Paige M — 03 Mar 2009
Charlie Chaplin can bring you to tears and then lift your spirits right back up having you howling at his groundbreaking comedy. The development of the characters is just marvelous seeing that there isn't any talking.
You instantly fall in love with the Tramp and have your heart melt the entire time. Films nowadays should learn a thing or two from City Lights. One of the best 'romantic comedies' to date for sure.
