Review of City Hunter (1993) by Saku N — 01 Sep 2009
Sandwiched in his mid 90's franchise successes (released directly between two sequels to Police Story) Jackie Chan made this ridiculous Hong Kong movie about a sex-crazed Japanese private eye who chases after a runaway girl and gets into a series of very silly fights.
It's a woefully inadequate script but Chan makes amends for the film's shortcomings with his own enthusiasm. Not his best work but Jackie is still on form and his plethora of leading ladies make matters interesting enough.
