Review of City Heat (1984) by Henry K — 20 Jun 2009

I've seen a lot of negative reviews for this film. Honestly it's a lot of fun!

Sure it's not perfect, but for the most part the comedy is very well done if you are into very dry humor. Several classic lines are in this film.

One of my favorite scenes is when Reynolds enters a fancy party where almost everyone is wearing a tux. Reynolds is wearing a trench coat and suit with a long black tie. The bouncer at the door tells Reynolds that "this is a black tie" party. Reynolds points at his long black tie and responds: "Good thing I'm wearing one".

So overall if tis type of humor is your style and you don't take the story too seriously you'll enjoy this rare and unusual film.
