There's nothing like a good beach party movie, and this is *nothing* like a good beach party movie. Tommy Kirk not only looks too old here but actually looks physically ill for most of the movie. The creepy dungeon-themed club rock club the kids hang out at was a nice touch.
Also appreciated: the climactic multi-event, cross-country relay race included mandatory hitchhiking, which almost made up for how endless that overall montage was.
