Review of Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009) by Shelby C — 17 Nov 2010
Considering this was a kids movie based on vampires, critics needn't take it too seriously. The Mise-en-scène, ensemble cast, and even the soundtrack deserve 3 stars. The only thing missing was character development and a complete story.
Perhaps the director was focused on moving things along, because audiences could have benefited from more explanation of the Cirque.
