Review of Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009) by Amanda B — 03 Dec 2014
Darren gets this ad about a freak show and him and his friend go to it. He accuses one guy of being a vampire during their show and then after it they steal his spider which bites his friend and now wants the vampire's help to make him better and the vampire then makes him his assistant.
The acting was really good especially from John C Reily and the kid actors but story wise the plot was messy and all over. There were times also where you get lost and it dont make sense. I must say the effects were really good and settings and backgrounds were weird and creepy which brought out the movie a little more and gave it a better standing as a vampire movie.
I wouldn't skip it but don't expect a stable plot. There's good fighting scenes, acting, special affects and good characters but once again I was at times left confused, wanted more results, and a not so scrambled plot.
