I loved the casting and the costumes were gorgeous. However, I had a problem with the "re-telling." Basically, it was the same as the animated one without the singing. Except, I think, Cinderella has less personality.

She does nothing to save herself, but instead waits for the prince to come get her which seems ridiculous to me. Wouldn't she at least try to get out? I like Ever After far better, because Cinderella saves herself.
