Review of Chrysalis (2007) by Javier M — 10 Oct 2010
I saw this French flick with my sister. This was pretty damn good. Everything in it looked amazing. It's set in the very near future and the technology is much better. I liked how they integrated it so causally without focusing on it.
The technology was used as tools. That wasn't really what the movie was about. It just happened to be there. This is about a cop who goes back on the force to catch the killer of his wife. The plot was a bit crazy and it wasn't easy to follow all the time.
It was also a bit slow moving for the most part, but there is some good action scenes and again, it looked great. And my sister and I are still laughing at how horrible the girl cop is. She lets a killer out of his handcuffs and allows him to take her gun.
Then later hands a gun to another killer after watching him kill someone in front of her... who trains these guys?
