Review of Christmas in Connecticut (1945) by Erin K — 02 Jul 2008
Ok, this has to be one of the best plot lines in movie history. It's another Christmas favorite - one of the ones I must see every year. (I don't know why I'm in this Christmas in July kick right now).
This is one of those little lies that grows and grows... only it's a bit more complicated than Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed. Like I said, it has one of the absolute best plots I have ever seen. The cast was perfectly, uh, well... cast. Barbara Stanwyck is amazing in an unusually lighthearted role, and S.Z. (Chuckles) Sakall is hilarious as usual as "Uncle Felix".
Trust me, you want to make it your own Christmas tradition.
