Review of Christmas in Connecticut (1945) by Raji K — 26 Dec 2013
Post war, two soldiers are left in the hospital and they are both trying to curry favor with a nurse in order to obtain food from the infamous American chef Elizabeth Lane. With some connections and calls placed the main character has a chance to have Christmas in Connecticut with the famous chef, but little does he know that the entire thing from her being a chef, to a mother and even a wife is all but a rouse.
Upon the setup of the film the rest of the films intentions are obvious as its outcome. I found the portly Yardley to be the most interesting character of the film, a man who never goes hungry, but overall this movie is not a Christmas classic I intend on revisiting.
