Review of Christmas in Connecticut (1945) by Candice E — 04 Dec 2017
Increasingly overplotted and rather charmless romantic comedy with a miscast Barbara Stanwyck as a magazine columnist implausibly coerced into hosting Christmas and parading a fake marriage to impress her self-centred boss (yet another perfunctory performance from Sidney Greenstreet).
Far too many plots chucked in and the whole thing becomes increasingly irritating.
