Well... this is exactly what you expect from a movie from the 80's about killer robots let loose on trapped teenagers in a shopping mall. It's lame, it's cheesy, the acting is bad, the effects are awful, especially the lasers, but is it entertaining? Absolutely.
And if you're watching a movie like this for anything more than that... you're looking in the wrong place.
