Good, but I think it takes most of its essence from Like water for chocolate. It may be a different story, but uses the same concept only commecialising. I also find hard to see it as Johnny Depp movie when he's barely in it.

Alfred Molina is superior than him in this movie, playing an excellent but predictable role, which is nothing to his performance in Frida. Definitely worth a look, though don't expect to be blown away.
