Review of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) by Chris A — 02 Oct 2012

Tedious British filmmaking of a very poor quality when it comes to its structure, pacing and overall song quality (however the chitty chitty bang bang song itself is brilliant with nice harmony I felt...also some other songs are fine).....with about three or four songs that were neither very good or just not needed...this thing comes in at 2 hours 25 minutes and takes about 43 minutes to get to the car coming back into the story...

.....the opening was very beautiful with the shots of the cars at various Grand Prix circuits across 1908 to 1909...in fact the entire movie is beautifully shot and edited...they shot things so well back then with wonderful wide shots and actually held on a shot.
