(1968) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
CHILDREN/ MUSICAL/ FANTASY.
Loosely based on a novel written by Ian Fleming, owners of the James Bond franchise by the name od Albert R. Broccoli decided to produce this very pretentious musical/ fantasy about eccentric inventor (Dick Van Dyke) many failed attempts to become wealthy by one of his inventions, leading to one invention after the other, whose always impressing his two small children!
Liked this film when I was a kid and still liked this now, catchy song numbers, dancing is fine and the situations although absurd is obviously intended to be nothing more than a kids movie one can get from a kid's book- I don't anything wrong with that!
3 out of 4.
