Review of Chinatown (1974) by Ben N — 12 Apr 2011
One of the finest noir films to be made after the black and white era that spawned them, Chinatown is the epitome of all things "hardboiled". A great cast, script, and beautiful production design highlight, with enough twists and turns to keep you hooked.
Really the only reason I dont give this a 5 star rating is the ending, which is brilliant but damn does it knock the wind out of you.
