DOUBLE THUMBS UP.

Chinatown's uniqueness comes it's flawless and historically significant script and Polanski's direction and innovative ending considering the period in which it was produced. Chinatown starts off like a typical Hitchcock film of the mid-fifties, but this is a film of the changing Hollywood and Polanski breaks all form of traditional narratives and heroic privileges with it's ending. Both Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway gives exquisite performances.
