Review of Chinatown (1974) by Kyle G — 01 May 2014
The sometimes convoluted plot of the noir-classic "Chinatown" is ultimately in service of themes both complex and profound (as well as disturbing and cynical). It's not always an easy film to digest, but still an important and impactful one.
Also, Nicholson is amazing and really channels a kind of Bogartian energy that is quite different from so much of his other work.
