Review of Child's Play (2019) by Scienceadvisor — 21 Jun 2019
Start with a schizophrenic script that does not know what it wants to be. Then add in some lackluster directing that results in bad performances, and sprinkle in numerous cliches and tropes. Even Hamil's excellent voice acting cannot save this, as he is confied to the role of a parrot, instead of villian.
At the very least this should have creative death scenes to sell itself, but that apparently is too much to ask. Fans and non-fans alike should avoid this movie.
