Review of Child's Play (1993) by Brandon V — 10 Dec 2010
This is a fun one. Fast paced, well directed, and featuring impressive robotics, this first entry in the horror/comedy franchise is an American classic. While it won't truly terrorize anyone over the age of 12, the big reveal about Chucky's batteries and the subsequent moment at the fireplace is genuinely creepy.
Plot holes galore exist once you cut beneath the surface of the loony voodoo logic driving the doll, but who's counting?
