Review of Children of the Damned (1964) by Ken D — 03 Feb 2009
Not superior to the original. It reflects developments in cinema, sure. The script is a bit sharper and it looks better. But this is technically not a horror film. It's more like a sci-fi political thriller.
The kids are the heroes. None of the creepiness or tension of the original. Loses the original's psychological resonance for a pretty didactic antiwar / Christian theme.
