Review of Children of the Damned (1964) by Private U — 27 Aug 2008
Sequel to the 1960 classic 'Village Of The Damned' although this time the children are drawn from around the globle and lack the original's creepiness. Whilst they retain the mesmeric eyes effect, the fair hair colouring they all had, which marked them as a collective and made them more creepy, is absent.
The death scenes are now more graphic though and the interplay between Hendry and Badel as the two scientists is great, even if Hendry's Welsh accent goes missing from time to time.
