It's cautionary, emotion-driven and exquisitely thought provoking narrative is stunning enough, but Alfonso Cuaron's direction; superb production design; likeable characters along with a tense, violent (but exceptionally touching) atmosphere make Children of Men stand out and deserve a standing ovation as an achievement in the world of science fiction cinema.
