Superb action/adventure/dystopian-future film with in-your-face, startling special effects that you will not soon forget. A scene may be quiet, even, jocular, then suddenly the tables turn and violence and death hit you like a ton of bricks.
One of the best overlooked films of the first decade of the 21st century. Directed by the brilliant Mexican director/producer/writer Alfonso Cuaron, it is a must-see. I have owned the DVD and now the Blu-ray to even more vividly see this cinematographic masterpiece.
