Review of Child of Sorrow (1956) by Eric A — 07 Aug 2009
A workmanlike "survival horror" piece that feels like a bare-bones outline of something that could have been more substantial. It's brisk and surprising at times but sags in its second half by focusing on mostly on the external threats and half-heartedly pursuing the characters' own unraveling interpersonal threads.
