Review of Child of Sorrow (1956) by Trystan C — 23 Jul 2012
A painful reminder of why I generally don't check out horror movies, "The Ruins" plays out more like a how-to course in makeshift surgery than an engaging and scary story. Where did they find all the food? Why are these vines possessed? Why didn't the mexican in the ascot just kill them to begin with? Apparently these questions don't need answering when you have a guy get amputated with a rock.
