Review of Chicken Run (2000) by Henry E — 23 Dec 2014
No one could dislike Chicken Run. The humour is likeable, even though frequent episodes of hens panicking does get slightly stale. The lead, Ginger, is marvellously voiced and effortlessly amiable, as well as Mel Gibson's chauvinistic Rooster.
Younger children may find themselves a tad terrified by the obviously dark threat posed by the farmer's wife. However, this doesn't compromise the film's charm, largely constituted by the marvellous animation.
