Review of Cherry Falls (2000) by Vincent B — 24 Mar 2010
Whilst the central concept of a killer targeting virgins as opposed to the standard killing of anyone and everyone who has engaged in elicit acts the film as a whole is a bit of a mess. The killers motivation seems a little under thought and reasons for killing the teens that do die has no real relevance to the rest of the film.
The killers identity is also painfully obvious to anyone paying attention for the first 10 minutes. All the performances other than B-movie stalwart Michael Biehn's appear phoned in and everyone on the whole looks bored.
A wasted chance I feel.
