Review of Chasing Amy (1997) by Gianluca C — 02 Oct 2012
One of Kevin Smith's best in that one moment it's juvenile comedy and the next it's heartfelt romantic comedy. The story follows a couple of friends who work in the business of comic books. Their world turned upside down when they meet a girl. She is a lesbian so nothing good can come of such feelings, one would think. Ben Affleck is good, as is Jason Lee and Dwight Ewell is fantastic as the black, gay, Sci-.
Fi comic writer. Joey Lauren Adams is grating. But Chasing Amy is worth it just for the scene where Silent Bob finally breaks his silence and tells Jay to shut up. Smith then essentially explains the title of the film in giving Affleck some advice on his relationship.
