Review of Charlotte Gray (2001) by Jonathon C — 17 Jun 2008
Good quality, artistic cinematography. Fine acting and a plausible story combine well. This film reminds me of our very own Nancy Wake (aka the White Mouse- courtesy of the Geheime Staatspolizei.) What a girl.
A bayonet wound in the forearm from a ruckus with an SS soldier and she's still kicking along sixty years later. Lest We Forget. Anyhow, back to the film. Stark but an admirable story that deglorifies war.
