Review of Charlotte Gray (2001) by Denise H — 11 Jul 2010
Decent movie. Believable story line. Excellent and beautiful scenery. My main problem with this though was Cate Blanchett's supposed Scottish accent (not believable) and with the male lead (Billy Crudup) whom I just didn't think really pulled off his part. Michael Gambon was good as the grizzled old father. Some of the minor actors missed the bar too.
I love Cate Blanchett's other roles but I just didn't feel her "naivete" she was supposed to have in the movie's beginning.
