Review of Charlie Countryman (2013) by Angel R — 10 Apr 2014
I truly cant believe all of the negative feedback that this movie is getting. I came on here expecting people to be raving over this film. When I started watching the film, I was goofing off on my phone, looking at this and that. But as I started to.
Watch from the corner of my eye, it intrigued me to the point where I went and got a glass of wine, lit a cigarette, and let myself get engulfed in this film. By the of it, I realized I had cried, laughed and felt the pain for these people. I felt the director did an amazing job, and with Shia LeBeouf, Evan Rachel Wood and Mads Mikkelsen, I don't think I could have asked for a better case of actors who know exactly what they're doing, and compliment each other so well. I give this movie 5 stars, mainly for making me connect to a story that was hard to watch, but extremely fulfilling at the same time. Hands down, Charlie Countryman was one of the best movies I've ever watched, and im sure this will be a movie I will watch over and over again. Bravo to Mads Mikkelsen especially, one of my all time favorite actors.
