Review of Chapter 27 (2007) by Brogan R — 29 Oct 2008
This movie puts forth the events that took place two days before the assassination of John Lenon by Mark Chapman. He was certainly deranged and disturbed and this was put forth in a chilling realistic manner in the film. Jared Leto delivers his best performance as Mark Chapman - its scary.
The film itself may seem uninteresting to many who expect fancy twists and turns. The audience should take note of the fact that it has not been dramatised and depicts the assumed real nature of Chapman. Its a good watch for anyone interested in the Beatles or realism in film.
A note: Listen to the first song of the credits - Fall into Place by Rich Price, It really captures the mood of the film and is f***ing brilliant.
