The best criticism I can give of this movie is that they tried to squeeze in too much plot into too little of a time frame, and it was not as complete of a plot as Blomkamp's other big hit District 9.

Other than that it hit all of the marks in terms of establishing characters with clear motives and defined personalities whether they were Jackson's ruthless engineer, Weaver's bean-counting executive, or the desperate criminals Ninja and Yolandi.

I think this was one of the most underrated films of the past five years.
