I have never been a fan of Charlie Chaplin's movies, so it is only natural I guess that I'm not a fan of a movie about him either.

Robert Downey Jr. has always been very talented, that much is evident. He is the best part of the entire film, and it is quite amazing how physically talented he is as well. Probably not many people could mimic Chaplin's slapstick comedy, but Downey gives his best shot and does as much as possible himself. Very well, I might add.

The movie itself is rather boring and too long, and I'm beginning to think I don't like biopics anymore. They are all starting to feel a bit similar. Childhood blah blah blah... Becoming famous blah blah blah... Downfall or a crisis blah blah blah... Surviving and a reflecting ending.

I'm still glad I watched Chaplin, if only for the showcase of the younger Robert Downey's acting chops.
