Horribly cheesy. The makeup was awful. It had a touching sentimentality to it, which eventually morphed into sappy melodrama. I didn't learn too much about Chaplin despite the two and a half hour run time, and even then it was hard to know how much of the material was accurate.
Downey Jr. did a good job, but didn't necessarily blow me away.
